Cobalt is a technology incubator located in Brentwood, California with strategic partners in Russia, Japan, Taiwan, and China. Founded in 2005 Cobalt has led the early development of a variety of medical devices and consumer products. Our strength lies in moving from idea to prototype quickly and efficiently.

Cobalt Team

The Cobalt Team is comprised of talented Scientists, Engineers, and Designers with diverse backgrounds. Our scientific expertise includes laser and optical spectroscopy, ultrasound imaging and high power therapeutic devices; and x-ray devices and imaging. Our team also has the necessary quality and regulatory expertise required to take a medical device from concept to sales.

Management

Luiz Da Silva, Ph.D. CEO/President, Co-Founder
Dr. Da Silva has a Ph.D. in physics and more then 10 years of research and development experience in the medical device industry. He is a fellow of the American Physical Society and the Optical Society of America.  He has over 200 publications and 52 issued patents, and his research has earned him awards from the American Physical Society, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, R&D 100 and the U.S. Department of Energy

Heidi Stark, CFO, Co-Founder
Ms. Stark has extensive management experience working with early stage medical device companies.
